Saphan Taksin

Saphan Taksin is the only rapid transit station that connects to a river pier. At the foot of the BTS the Chao Phraya pier is located with express boats are a popular mode of transportation amongst the locals to get from the Sathorn area to the Thongburi side along the Chao Praya River. With numerous 5 star hotels along the river, there are free shuttle boats to each of these as well as the high-end condos (naturally with beautiful views) located here too. For entertainment, there is Asiatique, one of the largest outdoor night bazaars in Thailand open from 5pm until midnight with a variety of restaurants, activities and stores.
