Siam

Siam is one of Bangkok’s busiest areas with the only sky train station that connects the Sukhumvit and Silom BTS line together. It is also known as a shopping haven for both tourists and locals. Within the area lies the huge Siam Paragon Shopping center, well known for its restaurants, hi-tech cinema including IMAX, bowling alley and designer stores. The mall is also kids friendly with attractions such as the Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World, the largest aquarium in South East Asia and KidZania playground. Within walking distance, the trendy Siam Discovery and Siam Center are located nearby. These two shopping centers are geared towards fashion-forward hipsters who love discovering new trends. Siam Discovery is also the home for Madame Tussauds Museum Bangkok. On the other side of the mega malls lies Siam Square, an open-air shopping complex, popular amongst the youngsters to hang, drink and shop. At night, the area outside of Siam Square transforms into a mini sidewalk bazaar where local designers and artists showcase and sell their proud work, which includes anything from clothing items to paintings.
